Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD)
APD supports individuals with developmental disabilities through services that promote independence, safety, and long-term stability, helping families access care, supports, and resources as children grow.

Children’s Advocacy Center of SWFL
Provides trauma-informed counseling, parenting support, advocacy, and prevention programs to help families navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and access community resources.

Children’s Network of Southwest Florida
Supports children and caregivers during times of instability by promoting safety, stability, and access to essential services, helping families manage challenges and work toward stable outcomes for children.

Early Steps
Florida’s early intervention program offering free developmental evaluations, therapy services, and family training for children under age 3. Essential for PPEC families transitioning into therapy pathways.

Family Initiative, Inc.
Offers autism‑specific parent training, caregiver coaching, social skills groups, and community programs. Supports families with behavioral, developmental, and sensory needs through evidence‑based, family‑centered services.

Family Network on Disabilities
Provides advocacy training, IEP/504 support, parent workshops, and statewide family support groups. Excellent for caregivers needing help navigating school systems or disability rights.

FDLRS
Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System supports families with screenings, educational planning, IEP support, and parent training. Great for families preparing for school transitions or navigating special education

Healthy Start of Southwest Florida
Provides free home-visiting, prenatal and parenting education, developmental screenings, care coordination, and access to monthly diaper support and additional resources for eligible families.

Hurricane Shelter Registration
Lee County’s Special Needs Shelter Program helps families prepare for hurricanes by ensuring children with medical needs have access to safe shelter, power, and transportation.

Medicaid Choice Counseling
Florida’s Choice Counseling program helps families choose or switch Medicaid plans to ensure their child receives the right therapies, transportation, and coordinated care with fewer barriers.

STARS Program
